Overview

Herpetologia Brasileira (ISSN: 2316-4670) is the official scientific journal of the Brazilian Society of Herpetology, dedicated to the publication of research on amphibians and reptiles with a focus on Brazilian diversity. Articles are available online and open access, with no publication fees, and are continuously published in an online-only format with associated DOIs, being incorporated into two annual volumes. Herpetologia Brasileira focuses on original articles, scientific notes, book or work reviews, essays, and opinions on topics such as taxonomy, systematics, ecology, evolution, natural history, and conservation of amphibians and reptiles.

With peer review in a double-blind peer review format, Herpetologia Brasileira has established itself as a reference channel for the herpetological community in Brazil and abroad, being composed of an experienced and internationally recognized editorial board.

Scope and Objectives

Herpetologia Brasileira receives original manuscripts that significantly contribute to knowledge on the diversity, systematics, taxonomy, morphology, biology, and conservation of amphibians and reptiles, especially focusing on Brazilian diversity.
